$7 Toothpaste

I went to buy toothpaste this weekend. A normal activity. About a month ago I discovered a gingermint flavor. I was ecstatic. It tastes good. Well the price has risen from $3.19 to $6.79!!! Does this all go back to the price of petrol? Toothpaste is a commodity! The price changes affected all brands. From my informal survey every brand has gone up $2-$3:(

*This is from a post I did last year.*

I heard coyotes howling at the moon. I turned to look out at the view. They stood there five or six of them converging in the darkness. I would have asked them to stop only I was not bothered, not bothered at all. I saw that it was 2:13 in the morning. My wake up time. "There is a message in the clouds Do not fall back asleep." I am misquoting Rumi, but you get the gist. I stayed awake a few more hours listening to my howling companions. I couldn't really see them as the light began to creep over the horizon. I would think that I had only imagined them if only they hadn't left footprints in the sand.

Beware of Prowler

Last night I was watching "It Takes A Thief". The premise of the show being that homeowners need to use all of the safety measures at their disposal. Today I get a call from someone I know that a stranger came knocking late last night.

Me: Did you open the door?

Them: Nope I turned the porch light on and spoke through the glass.

Me: Does your front door open with a key on both sides?

Them: Yes.

Me: And the basement door?

Them: Yes.

Me: Do all your windows and doors have working locks?

Them: Yes. I went through the entire house locking everything.

The family on the show had an alarm, but didn't use it. They had a box full of keys with a list of all the doors they opened. The box was unlocked it included their neighbors' keys . There windows were not locked. Paranoid yes, but the show was hosted by 2 ex-burglars who "robbed them blind" as part of the show:(
