I know you're standing there
3,000 miles from here to there
I know you're standing there
The damage is done
Now the coast is clear
I know you're standing there
I'm opening my heart so you can come near

The jackhammer started a few minutes ago. Earlier it was the garbage trucks. A welcome sound as they are hauling away the BS. No idea what the jackhammer's for. It's like New York out there with the racket they're making.
GEEZ!

I stopped for gas on the way to Memphis. One of the sights I most remember seeing was the incredibly increasing price of GAS. I left the East coast thinking prices would shrink or level out. I paid $2.57 in suburban Maryland. $2.71 was the price at Costco, Nashville. I went to Whole Foods for breakfast. One of those recently reassigned Wild Oats. The sign hadn't been changed yet. The atmosphere was murky. It didn't feel like a Whole Foods. The products were the same, but... I remember the first Whole Food's I went to. It was very different from the "Natural Food Stores" I'd grown up with in New York City. Most of those were Mom + Pop operations where you knew the owner.
Until next time...
