I bought the car on a Tuesday. Returned that Friday to replace the stereo = CD player not working. Also had the back window tint replaced = not optically clear. Excitedly I could barely sleep, in anticipation of my journey. Saturday was as full as Friday had been. I packed relentlessly. I will remember it as a pleasant fall day. I shopped for food stuff. The store was under crowded. I thought about being at the Hollywood Farmer's Market. Would I find it the same?

I missed the warm weather, the sound of the ocean. I'd watch every show that takes place in LA. Even the ones that weren't really shot there, but were replicated in Vancouver or Toronto. Our faux Hollywood neighbors. There is something about the magic of make believe that still makes me believe.

Vintageleviskirt1

Blue Jean Baby, L.A. lady. Picked this up mañana at a "Vintage Store". Origins unknown the washing machine will be seeing these, before I dare to wear. OK I am so proud of myself. I usually prefer a very short skirt (mini ok micro) or a very long skirt. This being somewhere in between I wavered. I entered the dressing room skepticism in hand. However as soon as I slid them on and checked the mirror "Goal!" I had a brand new skirt at $5.47 with tax. Not bad you say. That's right ladies and gentleman I am a bargain hunter! Did I tell you about the Chanel bag with the....sike I kid..not. There is a war going on people and I am out shopping, queuing along with the rest of you. When will I wake up and see that my, that my friend is ... actually I went out with a guy once who told me that if he remained in the U.S. he wanted to be in The Reserves. Naturally I was not happy, but he wanted my understanding. We ended up breaking up, but this was in the middle of the "War On Terror". I was loathe to think that anyone I cared about would be involved and the idea that one would choose to participate really blew me away. For his part he felt that he had dreamed of becoming an American since he first saw Mickey Mouse and he had served a term in his birth country's military, so he would do the same in the U.S. While I admired his patriotism in a time of peace perhaps I would have been more understanding, but during a time of war??? Many people joined The Reserve or the military during peacetime and how many expected this??? How could they? Remember all those ads for the G.I. Bill? It sounds pretty good if you don't want to pay student loans. But we all end up paying.
